 Q: About kanekalon and what is kanekalon used for?
A: Kanekalon is synthetic fiber produced in different structures, lenght and colors. Kanekalon is very often used for rasta braids, box braids or dreadlocks. Kanekalon can also be used to create extravagant hairstyles and hairpieces. Otherwise, you can create fiber wig for dolls and puppets from Kanekalon. It is also often used as a padding for hairstyles.

 

Q: Do you have brick-and-mortar store?
A: Yes, we do. Goods can be viewed and purchased in brick-and-mortar store at Prague 5, Malátova 9 street. Opening hours Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM, Friday 9 AM to 3 PM. At the weekend we are closed.

 

Q: Is VAT included?
A:
 Yes, all prices include VAT.

 

Q: Can I pay by card in brick-and-mortar store?
A:
Unfortunately, we accept only cash.

 

Q: Is it possible to order goods other way than cash on delivery?
A: Yes, it is. It is possible to pay by bank transfer or pick up the goods in person at the store in Prague.

 

Q: Is there a minimum quantity of goods I need to order?
A: No, you can even order one package of kanekalon, it is your choice, what you want to order. When ordering over 100pcs, a discount is possible.

 

Q: Where do you ship the goods?
A: We are shipping to whole Europe. We are also able to provide transport to United Kingdom, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, Turkey, Israel and United Arab Emirates.
 Payment is made in EUR by conversion according to the current exchange rate.

 

Q: What is the difference between Rasta and Micro Rasta braids?
A: Micro Rasta braids are very thin. The number of braids for micro rasta knit is around 300pcs.

 

Q: How can be braid ended?
A: Braid can be seal by hot water, with knot, by rubber bands, with bead or by fire. Ending method differs according to used type of Kanekalon.

 

Q: What type of Kanekalon should I use for Pseudo Dreadlocks?
A: We recommend to use 100% Jumbo Braid Kanekalon. From another material, Dreadlocks may not hold.

 

Q: How long must be hair for Rasta Braids?
A: Minimum lenght is 7 cm or 2,75 inch.

 

Q: Can Rasta Braids damage natural hair?
A: No, Rasta Braids will not damage your hair in any way.

 

Q: Is it normal that after taking off the Kanekalon, I comb out a large amount of my hair?
A: Yes, it is completely normal. Every day, a healthy person loses about 100 pieces of hair, which you do not comb out during the hairstyle, that is the reason why you after removing Kanekalon comb out so many hair.

 

Q: How many braids are commonly knitted per Rasta hairstyle?
A: The average number is 140-180 braids.

 

Q: How long can I have Rasta Braids?
A: We recommend wearing Rasta Braids for 2-3 months.

 

Q: What does it mean re-braiding?
A: It means untangling an old braid and braiding a new one on a combed strand of your hair. In most cases re-braiding is doing only on the front - there are most visible braids.

 

Q: How many packages of Kanekalon do I need for Boxbraids/Dreadlocks?
A: This is individual and depends on the type of kanekalon. Approximately per one package of Kanekalon is 25 braids.

Q: Can Kanekalon Hair be dyed?
A: No, It can not be dyed with hair dyes products.

 

Q:  Can I ondulate kanekalon or use flat iron?
A:  It is possible, but it depends on type of Kanekalon. 100% Kanekalon can be ironed, but maximum is 130°C.

 

Q: Kanekalon is washing out pigment. What should I do?
A: In exceptional cases happens that not all the paint is washed out of the kanekalon during production. In these cases you can wash the fiber with winegar water. This procedure can also be used on already knitted braids.

 

Q: Is it possible to curl/ondulate completed rasta braids? 
A:  Yes, it is possible. You can curl Rasta Braids made only from 100% Jumbo Braid. From finished straight braids you knit a large braid, which you seal in boiling water. Be carefull while sealing. After untangling the braid, single braids remain wavy. If you want to straighten braids again, seal them again in boiling water.

 

 

Q: Can I have an allergy to Kanekalon?
A: No, we have no case of a customer having an allergic reaction. It is possible that you will experience redness of the skin on the neck after weaving braids or dreads. This redness is not caused by an allergy, but by stretching of the scalp. In case of redness after knitting the braids, it is necessary to wait a week for the redness to subside. For irritated skin, it is advisable to use special sprays and shampoos for hair from our offer, for example No more Itch spray.

 

Q: What should I do if I want to make a complaint?
A:Notification of the defects found must be made by the buyer in writing or by email - info@kanekalon-store.cz Claims of mechanical damage to the goods cannot be recognized. Written notification or email together with the claimed goods will be sent by the buyer in the appropriate packaging by registered mail to the address Kanekalon-store, Malátova 9, 15000 Prague. Based on this information, we will determine the next procedure for handling the complaint. The shipment must not be sent cash on deliver. Claims from liability for defects do not apply to defects caused by improper use and treatment. If the complaint is found to be justified, we will send you new goods or you will be refunded. We send money to the account. In case of damage to the goods by the carrier - by post, complain to the carrier or refuse to accept it.
